Who is Annette?
Finally an answer to your question.

          We have had dozens of people ask us the same question whenever they see us out, "Who is Annette?" The the truth is there is no ex-girlfriend, no ex-wife, or no ex-anyone for that matter named Annette. Annette is the same person as Floyd from Pink Floyd, or Dan from Steeley Dan. In other words there is no person¹ its just the name of the band. 

          Then where did the name come from, you ask? Well, do you remember going to the circus as a kid, and the ring leader would announce that the lady up on the high-wire or trapeze would now be performing her act "live without a net"? Well, that's kind of how we like to play... live music with no safety net. We just want to get out there and play our best, put on a good show, and try to make all of you have a great time too. We just changed "a net" to "Annette" because I like the double entendre and it seems to get people's attention.

          ... besides the only other name we had in mind at the time was Flat Squirrel and the Spatulas!

1. Actually we have had a couple of ladies come up to us during a show and tell us that their name is Annette. Hi to our friend Annette!
